The Reign of Queen Bee
Madam Ng is like a bee. She goes around stinging people, finding faults and ending up pissing them off. She is the head of the clinical side so there's pretty much nothing one could do if she implements anything. The only person who is of higher authority than her would be CO himself. CO is always not around. It is said that he has loads and loads of meetings and stuffs. But frankly speaking, even if he's at home sleeping or somewhere loafing away, nobody would know too. Nobody has the right to say anything even if he chooses to play punk.
It's all about politics.
Madam Ng likes to say that she is very understanding. If there's anything you like to voice out, she would gladly listen and be reasonable. But according to her means of being 'understanding', it's more like being childish to me. You can try reasoning with her if you want. Chances are, she will fuck you 3 times back.
She likes to pick on people. Whenever she finds something which is not to her satisfaction, she would fuck you up straight in the face. But if you think about it, at least you know the reason how you die rather than being stabbed in the back to death. Why would anybody find fault with another for no reason? It's not like she would be getting extra money or a good name for being a tyrant. She is always going around the place finding preys to sting rather than staying in her own nest to rest. Does she find pleasure in all of these? That's having too much free time if you ask me. Perhaps back at home, her husband didn't give her all the time, that's why she is finding ways to be thrilled behind his back.
There was once when she burned my Off because of not knowing how to change the sticky labels of the printer when they were out. I told her that it didn't even cross my mind that I had to know. She said that I have no reasons not to know and that it was my duty to find out myself. It's not like I didn't want to learn or someone had taught me but I forgotten how to. It's just something which is beyond my knowledge and yet she chooses to burn my Off. I wouldn't know how to change many other things too you know. Maybe I would be punished likewise, for not refilling the toilet rolls when they are finished or change the filter of the air conditioners when they are not working well. I am not surprised too, if one day she comes up to me and says ' Hey, Liwei.. I am going to burn one of your Offs.'
'Why?'
'Because you are so good looking until you are attracting too much attention from the public.'
Ironically, Mdm Ng did save me a few days back during Area Inspection though. The whole process was taking too long and the public were waiting for it to end before they could come in. There was a very big queue and I was ordered to neglect the inspection and attend to the public at the counter. Dr Kelvin was inspecting on that day and I heard everyone was pumped except me and Marcus. The guys at admin had to pump 30 too.. but without me being around. It was such a waste as I went for a jog and spent a few hours at the gym just to warm up the day before. I didn't know that I would be excused doing pushups on that day.
