Fade Away Not

It's been awhile since my last entry.

Better for me to update some incidents before they slowly vanish from my mind. The reason why I wrote a blog in the first place is because eventually I could reflect back on what had happened in my life before.
Not forgetting the thrills that I would get whenever I had the chance of making fun at people whom I know or have not seen at all in my whole life.

I went to Zouk on 11 March.

Apparently, Marco V was spinning on that night.
He is one popular DJ from Holland even though a minority of people who do not appreciate his genre of music may start to wonder of his existence.

Being a big fan of Marco and knowing him inside out,
I am more than willing to share his personal biography.

Marco V.

V for Vendetta.

And also blood related to the person who had introduced spaghetti to Italy.

Marco Polo.

I went there with Jonathan, Xuguang and some of his friends.
I kind of went there in the last minute as there was no other better place to go already.
The usual group of people including myself were slacking at Cineleisure's Long John and thinking of somewhere to spend on the Saturday night.

Ivan brought along his viewcam and filmed us whenever he had the chance. It was fun to see some of us in candid whereas the rest of the time we appear to be retarded in front of the camera, which is what we are best at. It's good to know where our talent lies, so that we won't feel so left out whenever there are topics related to talk about if there is a distant family visiting going on.

Why did Ivan get a viewcam?
Was it really essential for him to get one?
Who gave him the motivation?
One may ask.

I do not know for sure the reason as to why he had gotten a viewcam.
But what I am fully aware of is that he bought it soon after the Tammy NYP incident became famous.
Whether the 2 issues were related or it was just plain coincidence,
I choose not to elaborate further.

Xuguang and Jonathan left for Zouk earlier, leaving the rest of us behind while still thinking of a place to go. Brandon and Amanda then headed down to Dble O not long after. Going Dble O for me was becoming boring. I preferred to go there long time back though, when the old pubs were still running. You may think that it's ridiculous for me to say that James Bond existed along Mohd Sultan years ago.

But by club hopping from Dble O to Seven, anyone could easily be crowned as 007.

The rest of us were rather unsure of anywhere else decent to spend the night meaningfully so it was quite understood that most of them were bound to go back home.
I didn't like the idea of wasting a weekend away like that so I went to join the others at Zouk.

That night at Zouk was great.
Just the right amount of people.
Just the right touch of music.

I did enjoy myself to the maximum,
and also to the point of almost falling asleep on one of the chairs.
Due to the non-stop hard pounding music that the DJ had offered till 6 AM in the morning,
it's no wonder why I needed to take a break.
I wanted to sit down, relax and think carefully as to why the hell do we had to stay up until so late even though we were so exhausted.

We managed to take photos with Marco himself after he was done.
Unfortunately, the photos were not within my reach since the camera was not mine.
I only got hold of one,
which was without Marco but with most of us inside.

Xuguang, Andy, Melvin, Xuguang's friend and me at the bottom.

Both of Xuguang's eyes appeared to be almost closed when he took the picture together with us.
A loss of interest in male bonding perhaps.

Check out his enthusiastic expression when he's surrounded by girls instead.

This is a photo taken quite some time ago which I had came across while browsing in a certain website.
The people in the picture were shown to be rather vibrant and fun-loving,
although I can't deny the fact that the overview of it is exceptionally scary as well.

As for Jonathan,
he disappeared halfway during the night and I only heard from him the next morning when I woke up. He told me that he was dead drunk and went home alone. I soon found out that he was so drunk that he slept at his house downstairs and only waking up in the day.

Thank Heavens for he was safe and sound.
It was actually quite a relief to know that it was the bright sunlight that woke him up and not because of the sharp pain coming out from his asshole.

I caught the movie 'V for Vendetta'.
An original concept in the storyline but not the title of the show for it has modified the phrase from another label.

I swear that I have heard the actual phrase countless times when I was a small kid drinking something similar to Yakult.

I went to Changi General Hospital to visit Ah Boon last Thursday.

I met up with Xuguang at Simei MRT station before heading down to the hospital. Ivan and his elder brother, Wilbert then arrived soon after at the lift area. Upon reaching the hospital at first, announcements have been made saying that the visiting time was over. We didn't bother much and continued finding our way to the ward.
Neither did we bother much about whether we had taken the correct lift or not.
We came out from it as soon as we realised it was the wrong one.
The four of us were getting impatient when every lift that were going down were totally packed.

There wasn't any staircase leading downwards so we had no choice but to take the lift up first before going down. We managed to squeeze into one lift altogether and also experienced one of the slowest elevator ride in our lives. While going down, it had to stop on every single level. The door would open and you could see like hundred pairs of eyes staring at you as there's no way for them to make their way in.

Being in the lift at that time would be the same as standing in the centre of the dance floor while Paul Van Dyke is spinning. There is practically no space for you to move around with so many people squeezing next to each other.

There are however, two prominent differences that I could think of.
One would be the music present.

And
Releasing a deadly diarrhoea fart would be harmless in a clubbing scene...
But to be doing the same in a packed lift with insufficient oxygen to begin with,
police would classify the act as murder.

We soon reached the ward after carefully taking the right lift.

As serious as it may sound, Ah Boon had met with an accident in his workplace. He was knocked down badly by a Forklift and caused his left leg to be severely fractured. There was this mechanism which was inserted into his leg so as to aid in the alignment of the bones inside. It looks like a mega-sized compass which I had used back in my primary and secondary school days to draw circles. There are screws by the side of the mechanism exactly like those of a compass whereby you can tighten it to draw smaller circles. The screws looked attractive to me at first, as I have stopped using a compass for a very long time and that it was a chance for me to recapture the moments.

Even though for sure I knew it could not be used as a compass, I had to resist the temptations of turning the screws to see what would happen.

Thoughts came rushing through my mind.
How we have made fun of a name in a scenario whenever we felt like it.

It all happened when a few of my close friends including Xuguang were somewhere in Katong on a common night. Unfortunately for me who was not present at that time, or I would have witnessed a declaration of the incredible legend myself.

It was just like any other night whereas the person whom they had came across was totally uncomparable to anyone else. A man was seen to be very drunk across the road and still struggling to overcome his fiery emotions. The drunkard, who was a complete stranger to Xuguang and company, alerted them by shouting at the top of his voice for no apparent reason.

He sounded extremely fierce and everyone could sense his seriousness.

'HAH!?'
'LE GONG SI MI!!??'

The troubled guy was venting his anger by trying to pick a fight.
However, Xuguang and the rest couldn't really be bothered with him but what came out from his mouth next startled all of them and cold chills went straight up their spine.

A finger was pointed at the group followed by a life threatening remark.

'WA GYO AH BOON LAI AH!!!!!!!!!'

I am not really close to Ah Boon in the first place.
But I do know that he can be pretty blur at times and unaware of what is going on around him.
He talks in a loud volume and one can actually feel the pellets of his saliva shooting out like a machine gun when standing close to him.

He not only Say.
He Spray at the same time.

It was after the particular incident that Ah Boon was pronounced as Katong Boon.

If there is any trouble stirring in Katong,
one would definitely know who to call for help.

We liked to mention the phrase,

'WA GYO AH BOON LAI AH!!!'

once in a while because we thought it was rather funny but after seeing him in such a state on the hospital bed, it didn't tickle my laughter anymore.

Because I knew that no matter how you GYO AH BOON LAI,
he couldn't be able to make it on time, even though he has a modified turbo engine on his automated wheelchair.

Nevertheless, he is a nice guy.
Hope he recovers well and as soon as possible.

I attended my brother's graduation ceremony last Friday evening.

Congratulations to my brother, who now holds a bachelor of Science and major in Psychology.

It was a glorious moment for him as well as for my parents, who were proud to witness their eldest son's achievement. I was told by my dad to dress up formally with a tie. The tie which he chose for me was not appealing to me and in fact, I found it quite unappropriate to match it with my top. But he said it looked good on me so I still wore it so as not to disappoint him.

Whatever it is, a person will always look good regardless of what he wears if he himself is naturally handsome.
Although it plays a part too if the surrounding people have a poor sense of sight.

Me, Mom, Granny, A weighing scale, Dad.

I was happy for my brother too, but at the same time I could feel the pressure slowly weighing onto me.
People would start asking me when it's my turn to do the same.

My grandmother asked me the same question too.
She even offered to sponsor my studies if I am truly interested.

Under the sheer pressure that I was going through, I quickly thought of a marvellous idea to solve the matter. If everything went on smoothly according to my ingenious plan, I might be able to graduate in the glimpse of an eye.

With overwhelming confidence coming from inside me,
I then took hold of my brother's square hat without him noticing and wore it on myself.

Being a master of disguise,
I managed to sneak into the graduates' corner in this outfit without alerting any suspicions from the other Harry Potters.

I was waiting to go up on stage to collect the certificate which I thought might exist when someone pulled me to the side for a snapshot.

After the photo shoot,
instead of me continuing to collect my prized document,
I was further escorted to a ship whereby I started sailing into the deep seas in search of sunken treasures and terrorism.
