Bonus Features

Managed to get a version 1.5 PSP.
The shop I got it from is called Playboxx and it's situated in Tampines.
It is also probably the only place left in Singapore which still has a few remaining stock.

I really have to thank my baby for buying such an expensive gift for me.
Even though she had combined many occasions together and need not buy anymore presents for me until some time next year,
it is still considered one of the most valuable present that I have ever received.
As for her case,
the most costly present she ever bought.

It comes down to a total of around $550.
I paid for an extra 1 gig memory stick for $135 whereas the rest of the package was purchased with just a mere smile on my face throughout.

I am truly blessed,
for having such a wonderful person in my life and also tons of games made available to me that I don't even know where to start.
I might not even want to go out anymore,
or even to work.

I would just lock myself in the room and play games the whole day.
In between taking intervals to let my PS2 and PSP rest,
while I focus my attention entirely on either screens...
Neglecting whichever phonecalls or appointments that I would encounter.

In time to come,
people may think that I have lost alot of weight due to intensive regular workouts.
People may also think that I have saved alot of money either because I am more thrifty or I am having a stable job income.
Well...
Close enough.

My above fantasies might come true if it wasn't for what I have discovered 2 or 3 days back.

I took out everything from the box and did a run through on the instruction manual.
Everything that was stated in the manual came together in the package.
So I happily surfed the internet in search of information which could assist me in playing downloaded games. I came to a forum and found out that it wasn't as easy as I thought.
There were certain things that I had to look out for;
The game file extension, the version of the game and installing emulators in the PSP itself.

Woah.
So chim one sia.
At first I thought transferring the games over into the memory stick then On and play can liao.

'Nevermind.'
'Can slowly find out myself or ask other people if worse comes to worse.'

The person probably installed everything for me back at his shop.
I figured out that by transferring the games which I had already downloaded to the PSP,
and trying whether they could be loaded would be the best alternative that I had from the start.

I charged my PSP battery for six hours.
There wasn't any cable included to connect the PSP to my PC directly.
I took out the memory stick,
took out my Digicam card reader and had an advanced Merry Christmas cum New Year greeting to myself.

The sizes of the memory stick and the card reader were different.

All the while I was having sub-conscious thoughts of the memory stick being the same as my Digicam memory card,
but clearly I was wrong.

I got the PSP on Monday and haven't tried using it until now.
Maybe I will just put it aside because I am far too lazy to get a memory stick reader or a USB direct cable so soon.

I probably will get one when PSP2 is launched.

Money Matters

It's preferable to be spending less at all times, whether necessary or not.
Especially for a person who doesn't have a job since Dinosaurs roamed the earth,
Brandon surprises many by surviving till this very day.

I have a close friend.
He is none other than Brandon Conceicao.
I label him as a close friend of mine simply because he stays just a few blocks of flats away from me and not because we are having some kind of affair.
We have known each other for many many years,
somewhere in a Galaxy far far away.

I got to know him through another friend named Xuguang,
who was my Polymate for more than 3 years.

We didn't know each other by means of introduction by others.
It was at the staircase outside a Lecture Hall which sent sparks flying between us.
The staircase usually has a PSI reading of 500,
with fogs of smoke covering the visible paths of those who wanted to get across.
Almost everyone knew each other.
It is like a tradition that all smokers who hang out at the same staircase during Lectures know each other, regardless by names or by distinctive features.

As soon as Xuguang became a better friend of mine, we started sitting beside each other during Lectures so that we could further enhance our friendship by means of physical contact.

We became much closer after that,
for some reason.
So much that he would even drink my pee if I asked him to.
I began hanging out together with him more often and slowly knowing some of his own companions.

That was when I got to know Brandon the Billionaire.

Time passed real fast and soon he was out of army in the blink of an eye.
He did try working in some companies after that but none had kept him consistently busy till present date. Either he quit the job on his own free will or the company's contract was over.
I don't remember him saying that he was fired by any company,
but that doesn't mean it aint possible.

Basically he is still jobless and God have mercy on his poor soul.
There is practically no way for him to survive well with his pocket money unless he cut down his expenses on smoking. Spending half of his daily allowance on a packet of cigarettes and the other half on outings and food is totally insufficient.
I have no idea what kind of food he is able to afford but I swear that chunks of grass patches at the carpark downstairs his block has disappeared drastically.
It appears to me that King Kong had gone starving for months and ending up filling his empty stomach in one go.
It could happen to either King Kong or someone who is very hungry and less fortunate.
Someone whom I am probably not familiar with,
and also someone who stays around the block.

I went out with Brandon last Saturday night.
We went to the cafe right outside Cineleisure to have a drink each. We sat down, talked about whatever topics that came to mind and at the same time checking out the people hanging around there.

We sat there for a few hours and it was soon 11pm.
Brandon was thinking of places to go next as he didn't really like the idea of wasting a Saturday night away.
I asked him if he wanted to join me and Annabelle at New Asia Bar later on in the night.
But he refused as soon as he found out that the cover charge wasn't free and it's $22.

'No Money Lah.'
He said.

So I guessed he might go home or slack somewhere in the neighbourhood.
Brandon did mention that he was feeling very lazy and wanted to take a cab back instead of walking all the way to the MRT station.
It was not like we were somewhere in a jungle and it was totally inaccessible for us.
SomerSet station was just across the road with a mere 10 mins walk.
It wasn't really difficult for me to finally change his mind and we left the place at around 11.15 and headed towards the station.

We tapped our EZ-Links, walked down and waited patiently for the train to arrive.
I was on my way to Cityhall to meet Annabelle, whereas he was heading to the East.
We would be still taking the same train before we depart our own ways.

'Wa.. 11 minutes sia..'
Brandon gazed to the extreme end and saw the waiting time displayed on the screen.

'Fuck sia, really or not.'
'You see wrongly is it.'
I couldn't believe that it was so long.

It was true.
Fucking 11 minutes before the train would arrive.
I didn't pay much attention to the surroundings and missed out the part whereby the staff announced that it was the last train that was available.

The train finally came and it was pretty empty at first.
But our moods changed as soon as the train went further in.

'Chao chee bye'
'How come only the front portion empty then the behind so packed sia.'
Unfortunately, we were both standing somewhere near the last cabin and luck clearly wasn't on our side at that time.
The doors opened and the people rushed in like Olympic Gold medalists.
I tried squeezing myself inside but was in vain. Brandon saw the outcome and shook his head.
I came out and gave a sigh.

'Nevermind lor. Wait for the next one.'
I said.

'Wait your backside lah.'
'That one last train liao lah,
just now you never hear meh!?'

I opened my mouth and stared into space.
Anyway it was too late to do anything.
The train had gone and we could only get our asses out of there.

I wasn't aware that it was the last train.
If I knew,
I would have transformed into a rugby player immediately.
Dashing and diving into the cabin like a bolt of lightning, ignoring the crowd and injuries that I would inflict on and at the same time hoping for a touchdown victory.

But then again,
Brandon would be seen shaking his head too and waving goodbye to me through the glass door.

We got out of the station and went to flag for a cab.
It was funny to know that Brandon tried to save up the money on transportation but in the end he still had to take a cab,
plus the fare of getting into the station.
I was the one who persuaded him not to spend unnecessarily on cabs and it turned out that he had to spend more because of the unlucky incident.

Fucking funny sia.

We took a cab and I dropped at Cityhall before saying farewell to Brandon.
You can't blame him for not having money.

He wants to,
but somehow,
he can't.

The Beginning of an End

Palms wide open.
The desires of mankind are within the reach of those who seek.

One may see it as;

Pattern juey guay Badminton.

Or

Pattern juey guay Hulk Hogan.

As for me,
I am more interested in the number of fingers being spread out and shown prominently.

10 more working days left.

Historical Events

Got myself a DVD writer a few weeks ago from SITEX at Expo.
I had to get a replacement for my CD writer ever since it became non-functional. Can't even detect a CD not to mention making duplicates out of them. I got myself a BENQ DVD writer after much browsing around and also considering at it's low price of $79 with an addition of 25 blank DVDRs.
I never regretted getting one of these.
The amount of data stored in a single DVDR is equivalent to at least 6 CDs in total.
Not only is it able to store data, it can also be used as a DVD player as well.
These are the 2 main reasons anyone should get a DVD writer.

The real reason would be that CD writer is becoming something of the past.
And for me to ask around about getting one, would be the same as labelling myself as an ignorant geek from another planet indirectly.

I got a keyboard and some books for Annabelle on the same day too.
The keyboard was bought from the same IT fair whereas the books were purchased at Kinokuniya in Bugis Junction. Brandon had followed me all the way there to get the books and then slacked with me till Annabelle finished work.

The entire of Dan Brown's collection.

I gave her a surprise after keeping her unawared for some time.
It was well worth it.

Her previous keyboard was giving me Hell since the spacebar was in a bad condition.
Everytime I pressed on it,
either it worked, or I had to press a few more times to succeed.
It seemed that the spring beneath was damaged and the recoil effect was like a one way fuck.
It simply pisses me off whenever I had to try my luck on having a space in whichever I wanted to type. I wondered how the spacebar did actually become like this in the first place.
It's not like she kept playing those Floppy Disk Old-School games on her computer that was needed to press on the spacebar countless times so as to fire weapons from the spaceship.

I have been using my same old keyboard for many years now.
Every key on it is still intact so far.
Just that it used to be white in color but not anymore.
With a combination of different particles which had fallen into the tiny spaces in between each key; thanks to the variety of foods I have eaten at the same time right in front of my computer,
and the long duration of usage,
it has turned into a color which I do not really want to describe.

Books are beneficial to anyone.
I like to buy books for Annabelle knowing she loves to read.
But that doesn't mean I feel that she needs to improve on her English. Even though sometimes she speaks a different kind of English word that doesn't exist in the dictionary today.

Maybe she is trying to communicate with someone from another dimension.
It just so happens that I am always right in front of her so I often misunderstand that she is talking to me.

Celebrated Brandon's birthday at KBox in Cineleisure last Saturday, 3rd of December.
His actual birth date is on the 7th and it happens to fall on a Wednesday. To be organizing on a weekend would be a better choice since more people would be able to make it.
Unfortunately in the end...
Not many turned up,
the cost was like $40+ per person,
and I swear to God I'm the most innocent victim among the rest.

I paid around 50 dollars just to eat some tidbits,
drink a few mugs of beer,
and worst of all,
hear a bunch of monkeys singing.

I aint any good either.
If I were to sing,
I would sound like someone when being banged down by a car.

But I might be the next Singapore Idol if I practiced abit harder though.

My birthday was the following Friday, 9th Dec.
Happy birthday to myself.
Lots of hugs and kisses.
YaY.

Annabelle ordered a cake and was delivered to my house.
So sweet of her.
As well as the cake.

Well...
I am still waiting for her present though.
She would be getting a PSP for me.
But that would be combining my birthday, Christmas, our 2 year's anniversary and Valentine's day.
Well,
one thing I am sure is that if I were to get a diamond ring for her,
I need not get anything else for Annabelle for the rest of my life.

Still looking around for a version 1.5 PSP.
Sad to say, it might not be available in the market anymore.
Which means that if I were to get a different model, I wouldn't be able to play any downloaded games unless I modified the program within, creating a risk of getting it damaged.
Probably I might not get one afterall.
I could always request for something else instead.

Maybe a limited edition Patek Philippe watch will do.

I got some PS2 games lately by some means.
Have been spending most of my free time playing since.

God of War
Metal Gear Solid 3
Prince of Persia : Warrior Within
Resident Evil 4
Jak 3
Shadow of Rome
Shadow of the Colossus
Ratchet : Deadlocked
Shining Force Neo
Dragon Quest VIII
Smackdown Vs Raw 2006
Devil May Cry 3
Burnout 3 : Takedown
Winning Eleven 8 -> Turns out to be in chinese nevermind,
some more seems to be corrupted in some way due to long loading time.

The games may be old but they are pretty good.

I completed God of War recently,
and felt that it's one of the best Action Adventure game of all time.
No PS2 gamer should ever miss it.

Give me a good reason Not to play this game.
