Element of Surprise

Celebrated Annabelle's 21st birthday last Saturday.

I went over to Jurong Point in the morning and met up with her. She was craving for MacDonald's breakfast so we made our way over to the outlet in the shopping centre. I ordered a Big Breakfast for myself and Hotcakes for her. The Big Breakfast that I had wasn't exactly big enough for me, in fact I was getting more hungry after that. Maybe I might consider it a Big portion 20 years back from a little boy's point of view, which explains why there are always so many kids at MacDonald's in the mornings. The amount of food in each breakfast meal is just nice for any child and I am pretty sure black magic is involved too, since the foods of MacDonald's are not as nice as how they have promoted themselves. Kids tend to be weak and more vulnerable to the spells that are casted out from TV and Radio stations.
The power of MacDonald's is so strong that some kids know the existence of it and yet not having the slightest clue as to who their prime minister is.

I told Annabelle that after finishing up her Hotcakes, I would be going up to the Kopitiam food court for another meal. I said that I had a craving for Laksa, and nothing could stop me from having it.

We left MacDonald's and walked around the mall.
I wanted so much to go straight up to the food court but was in vain. Annabelle insisted that she wanted to go look for her stuffs first before that. She was the birthday girl so her wish was my command. Any other common day I would have given a lame excuse to go to the toilet and escaping my way to the food court without her suspecting at all.
I would then wipe my mouth instead of my backside after my business before finding my way back to where she was waiting.

She wanted to get some gifts for her buddies.
She said that whenever there's a birthday between them, there is bound to have a gift for each of them. It's like having a consolation prize for participating more in an event. Her closest friends would be there to help out earlier in the day and it wouldn't be as nice by just saying a simple 'Thank you' to them.

But that's what she would have said to me since I didn't get anything even though I was the first to reach and also the one closest to her besides her family.
The best part of all,
I don't remember her saying thanks to me.
Well...
She probably did it in another way but I would prefer a gift likewise.
Maybe a sports car or something.

After much wandering, she managed to get the gifts.
They were small little boxes with a tiny bear lying inside.
Cute from a female's point of view.
To me,
they looked as though they were dead and resting peacefully in their coffins.

We proceeded to Popular and bought some plastic sheets for wrapping the gifts.
Along the way, she told me that there wasn't enough time to go eat my Laksa anymore since we still had to go down to the basement NTUC to get some sushis for her party.
I was near into depression mode but I had no choice but to give in to her on that day even though eating Laksa was far more important than anything else.

We got the sushis and hurried back to her place for preparations.

As soon as I stepped into her room, I was almost blinded by a bright gleam of light emitting out from a corner.
I struggled with all my might and focused on my blurred vision.
It was a tall bouquet of flowers.
Not the kind which one will carry around in public.
It is only possible to be seen carried by a person,
who is none other than the delivery man.

Birds of Paradise, which was one of Annabelle's favourite flowers.
Bundled up together with another kind flower, which I don't know the name and I don't really care.
The flowers were so tall and attractive that anyone who stepped in her room would definitely notice them.

It wasn't from me.

It was from another guy.
The note that came along with the flowers stated,
'Happy Birthday Annabelle'
'Love, Roger'

I didn't know how to react when I saw what was written there.
All I knew was that the feeling would turn out to be negative,
even though I did picture how the scenario would be like if the flowers were actually from Roger Rabbit.
I asked Annabelle who this guy was and why he mentioned Love.
She said that he's just another friend of hers.

'Oh Ok.'
I knew very well that even if it was to be about Love, it was a one sided intention.
But then again,
I couldn't just neglect what I had seen.

'Tell this guy to take it easy leh.'
'Tell him to give me a chance lah.'

I told Annabelle jokingly because I didn't want to get everyone all worked up and spoil the main event in the evening. I also told her that I surrendered already, and that I would go and cancel the order of my flowers later on. (I didn't order any flowers, I like real only.)
I managed to close an eye and continued the preparations and the decor.

I did some blowjobs,

and hanged the balloons all over her living room.
The food were then delivered on time and being setup.
Many friends and relatives came and everyone feasted themselves on the food and drinks.

Annabelle's cake.

Happy 21st.

Happy birthday to Kendrick too.

Such a coincidence to be having the same birth date as Annabelle.
But not the same year.
We used to be very close together last time but recently we have not contacted as much.
We have alot of catching up to do for now.
I have no idea what he is doing currently or whether he is still the same or not.
Hopefully he is doing fine and not already abducted by aliens.

After the guests have left, we decided to go for a KTV session to end the night.
There were around ten of us, and 5 cars in total.
It could have been 7 cars,
if Catherine wasn't feeling ill and went home earlier with her boyfriend,
and I had already gotten my Driver's License and borrowed my dad's car.

Annabelle had longed to hear me sing for her.
Everyone knows that I don't sing.
Even if I were to go to a KTV lounge, I would only be hearing others sing while consuming the tidbits and drinks that were made available to me.

But that night was different.
It was a special night.

The song was up and I plucked up my courage from within.
I didn't care what others thought or how they would make fun of me.
I took the microphone from the table and sang with all my emotions that were built up inside me.
I gazed directly at her eyes and controlled my tears from coming out.

'Happy birthday to you,'
'Happy birthday, happy birthday,'
'Happy birthday to you.......................'

I told her that I had sang her a song already.
No more telling me that I didn't sing her a song before.

After the KTV session at around 3 am, everyone were tired and decided to go home.
Annabelle received another sms from Roger and we had a conversation leading into an argument.
We cleared our misunderstandings with each other and slept together back at her place,
right in my arms.

Until now,
I still haven't buy her a present yet.
Maybe I can try to prolong it until her next birthday.

That will definitely be the best surprise of her life.
