Oli Lazarus (Reel People, UK) at Zouk



At just 25, Oli Lazarus is already a successful label boss, DJ and producer, heading up London based soulful label Papa Records and also the founding member of Reel People. Since teaming up with studio engineer Tom Davidson in 2000, Oli has steered Reel People into a worldwide acclaimed band, garnering support from the likes of Louie Vega, Phil Asher, Jazzanova and Rainer Trüby. 2004 saw Oli and Reel People hit the road as a full 7-piece band, performing critically acclaimed gigs at Cargo, Jazz Café, Southport Weekender and the Tokyo Jazz Festival amongst many. With the label continuing its quest in pushing quality house, and Reel People now signed to the massive Defected Imprint, 2005 looks set to be an even bigger year for Oli!

Remaking dancefloor unpredictability with electroclash in its many facets – from techno-noir, disco-tron, punk-funk, dark-wave industrial to flash-trash breaks plus many turnaround surprises, DJ Mentor leads his team of Z.itch, g:tek and wee.like.me to mash the chic and sassy with the edgy and rocking for Shameless’ inaugural Sessions at Phuture. Integrated electro resorts never sounded quite so fun and calculated!

Rouge Live presents Surreal, Tiramisu & Love Me Butch @ Rouge

Rouge 'Live!' presents a double bill featuring local alternative rock favourites, Surreal. Making their debut on the Rouge stage as the opening act and closing act for Malaysia's Love Me Butch, the five members of Surreal, with their diverse and extreme muscial backgrounds, guarantee to deliver passionate and heartfelt words and music. Surreal will conjure up a genre undeniably original.
Straight from the urban sprawl of Kuala Lumpur come hard rock veterans, Love Me Butch, with their sophomore release This Is The New Pop. Expect explosive, angular guitar riffs layered over schizophrenic vocals, akin to peers like Deftones, The Used and Incubus. This is a rare showcase in Singapore not to be missed.

Angels of Love Party with DJ Simi & DJ Fiore (Italy) @ Zouk
